Welcome to Capstone Preschool

When will Capstone Preschool open?

Our start date is set on July 6th, 2026.

Is Capstone Preschool bilingual?

Yes. Capstone Preschool is a bilingual Chinese–English program. Each classroom will have a bilingual Chinese-English teacher. Children will experience both languages naturally throughout daily activities. In addition, we will have dedicated Chinese story time and singing time to support language exposure and learning.

What is the teacher-to-child ratio

Teacher-to-child ratios:

Infant Class: 1 teacher : 4 children

Toddler Class: 1 teacher : 6 children

Preschool Class: 1 teacher : 6 children

Each child will have their main classroom, where they learn and interact with their primary teachers and classmates.

Classroom learning focuses on teacher-guided and developmentally appropriate activities designed for each age group.

Children will also participate in community time, where classes may come together for activities such as music, storytelling, and movement. Community time also allows teachers to observe children’s readiness and adjustment, helping guide children toward the classroom environment that best fits their developmental stage.

What is teacher's quality?

The founders and director ensure that teachers value and prioritize the following qualities:

• Patience, observation, and care for children

• A strong sense of responsibility

• Supportive communication with children

All teachers and assistants meet the requirements set by California Child Care Licensing..

Our teachers are committed for the full academic year, providing stability and consistency for children. This helps build strong teacher‑child relationships and a predictable, supportive classroom environment.

How do teachers handle children’s emotions or conflicts?

Teachers first listen and help children express their feelings. After the child feels understood, teachers guide them to think of solutions together and learn how to resolve problems.

What is your potty‑training policy?

Capstone Preschool supports potty training for children of all ages.

We understand that potty training is a developmental milestone that looks different for every child. Our teachers work gently and patiently with children and families to encourage independence and confidence at each child’s pace.

Our approach includes:

• Positive encouragement and consistency

• Clear routines and communication

• Partnership with parents to support each child’s progress

Our goal is to create a supportive, respectful environment where children feel comfortable and successful as they learn.

What safety measures are in place?

Children safety is our priority. Capstone Preschool uses:

• Video monitoring throughout the facility

• Secure check‑in and pick‑up procedures

• Trained staff following safety and licensing guidelines

Monitoring is used for internal safety and supervision purposes only.

What does it mean that Capstone Preschool is faith‑based?

The founders have personal faith backgrounds; however, the school will not include Bible stories, prayers, or religious worship activities as part of the program.

Instead, we share simple stories, songs, and universal values such as kindness, respect, sharing, and helping others. Our goal is to create a positive and nurturing environment that supports healthy emotional and social development for children.

Do families need to be Christian to enroll?

No. Families of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at Capstone Preschool. We respect each family’s beliefs and traditions. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued.

Will there be enrichment activities?

Parents suggested activities such as cooking classes and field trips. These ideas will be considered as the program develops.

Will windows be open during school hours?

Yes. Windows may be opened during school hours to support natural ventilation and fresh air circulation, while maintaining a safe and comfortable classroom environment for children.

What Is the Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up Policy?

For early drop-off starting at 8:00 AM, there will be an additional fee of $100 per month. This fee is only to help cover the additional staffing cost needed for a teacher to come in early every day and support the children during that time.

The latest pickup time has been extended to 6:00 PM. For late pick-up, a fee of $1 per minute will apply for the first 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time, and $2 per minute after that.
